Three-Dimensional Modeling
Vehicle Models

State of the art three-dimensional (3D) modeling techniques are employed by Vollmer-Gray Engineering Laboratories, Inc. to create and maintain a library of vehicle models and roadway objects. Polygon-based 3D models are utilized in computer generated Accident Reconstruction software to create realistic shells for the modeled vehicles.

These models more accurately represent the vehicles involved in the collision. Overlaying these models onto simulation vehicles results in exhibit quality simulations.

Collision Scene Measurements

A Pulse-laser station is utilized to measure the features of the collision scene. A 3D model of the scene is created from the data recorded. Accurately measuring the scene of a collision can yield unlimited value to a computer simulation.
